Obama and Hillary Coming Together on Health Care

As we all know during the Primary wars there was one issue that Clinton supporters held out as the big difference and one of the prime reasons they supported Hillary over Obama - Health Care. It was also one the few issues where there was some real distinction.

I always felt that once the primary was over and Obama and Clinton started to work together their plans would get closer. Well, it seems I wasn't all that wrong.

As some of you may know Hillary held on on line chat recently with her supporters and the Health care issue was raised. The following is the question and the response.

Q: One of the main reasons that I voted for Hillary is her plans for health care. Can you make a comment on how health care [will be] carried out in the next administration?

A: I am so pleased that Sen. Obama shares my commitment to universal health care. Once he is elected, I will be working closely with his administration, members of Congress, health care advocates, and others -- to help develop a plan that ensures access to health care for every American. I know how important this issue is and it will be my top priority.

Personally I think this is great. I may not have voted for her in the primary, but there was one thing I could not take away from her. She is probably the most knowledgeable
person on health care in the government today. And I think having her work with the Obama administration on this issue can only insure we all get something that works.

Any VP news?  And no, once again, I intend no snark whatsoever.

Ouch! (none / 0)

Oh boy, I was waiting for somebody to come along and nail me on my prediction. I must admit, as I was writing it yesterday I kept thinking - you know this could come back and bite you right in the ass. So here I sit with a sore ass.

All I can say the info I got came out of the Obama DC office. Shows what they know and what I'll believe :)

NO NO NO!

I'm not nailing you at all.  I just wondered whether there was anything more info your source could provide.

If I was held to every rumor and prediction related to baseball that I ever passed along...

But it wasn't even a friendly jab, just looking for an update.

But, on the other hand, now that you mention it, shame on you for not controlling the Obama campaign...

Nailing myself, never assumed you were nailing me :)

Yea and how could I let them get out of control like that :)
